Seven Reasons Why You Should Have More Sex

Couple Did you know that having regular and enthusiastic sex can provide a number of physiological benefits for both men and women? This is of course assuming that you are in a monogamous relationship or at least practicing safe sex.

One of the most credible studies that showed how sexual frequency can positively affect overall health was conducted by researchers from the Queens University in Belfast and published in the British Medical Journal in 1997. The researchers tracked the mortality of about 1,000 middle-aged men over the course of a decade. They found that men who had the highest frequency of orgasms had a lower death rate compare to those of the laggards.

Other studies showed that having sex a few times a week is associated with or has a causal relationship with:
1. A lower risk of heart disease
In a follow-up study to the above mentioned Queens University study, researchers focused on cardiovascular health and found that men can reduce their risk of heart attack or stroke by 50 percent by having sex three or more times a week.

2. A healthier prostate
A study published by the British Journal of Urology International suggested that men in their 20s can lower their prostate cancer risk by a third by ejaculating more than five times a week.

3. A stronger immune system
A Wilkes University (Pennsylvania) study showed that those who have sex once or twice a week had 30 percent higher levels of immunoglobulin A, an antibody known to boost the immune system.

4. An improved sense of smell
After having sex, you experience an increased production of the hormone prolactin. This causes the development of new neurons in the olfactory bulb, your brain’s smell center.

5. Better bladder control
Have you heard of Kegel exercises? You do them, whether you’re aware of it or not, whenever you stem the flow of your urine. You work the same set of muscles when you have sex.

6. Weight loss and fitness
Take away the pleasure and sex becomes a form of exercise. A vigorous round of lovemaking burns around 200 calories – about the same as running 15 minutes on a treadmill or playing some squash. Muscular contractions during intercourse work your arms, buttocks, neck, pelvis, thighs, and thorax. Sex also increases your testosterone production, which leads to stronger bones and muscles.

7. Pain relief
Right before you experience orgasm, your levels of the hormone oxytocin surge to five times their normal level. This in turn, releases endorphins, which alleviate the pain of anything from a headache to arthritis to even migraines. In women, sex also stimulates the production of estrogen, which can help relieve PMS symptoms.

Taking male enhancement supplements can help support an active sex life. A quality natural male enhancement supplement like Erectzan contains herbs and nutraceuticals that give you harder, larger, and longer erections, increased libido and stamina, and improved sperm motility and quality. Male enhancement supplements will help you score more rounds but they won’t help you avoid sexually transmitted diseases so make sure you practice safe sex.
